Kayla + Daniel | The Millennium Center | Richmond, VA Wedding Photographer

Daniel’s family has been a part of my family since before we were both born. His parents and my Dad grew up together in Richmond, VA and I have such fond memories of good times at the river with the whole clan together feasting on crabs and laying by the water. Kayla is the absolute best! She is never without a smile to her gorgeous face, always so kind, always laughing. She is the perfect better half to Daniel! Having the opportunity to shoot the wedding of people I know and love always makes the day a little sweeter than most and the Tomlin wedding certainly didn’t disappoint.  It was held in such a unique venue called The Millennium Center in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina which is an historic property that used to be a bustling courthouse building. The interior boasted stunning high ceilings covered in adorned arches and running along the entire front facade were tall windows that lined the main corridor and spilled beautiful light onto everything inside. The gorgeous space ended up working out perfectly because the cold rain fell all day and into the evening. I don’t think anyone even noticed though there was too much love in the air and too many friends on the dance floor to care. I loved how Kayla incorporated pops of red throughout her day – from her bright lips and crimson bouquet, to the converse sneakers she changed into after the ceremony the whole day was brimming with their personalities. I LOVED shooting this wedding and I hope that you enjoy a few of my favorites from their day!
