Kate and William are one of those dreamy couples that look like they were born to fall into each other’s arms! When I first met Kate we instantly connected over wedding day conversation accompanied by a few tall glasses of delicious red wine. She told me all about how her and William met and got engaged, their plans for their wedding and how excited she was for us to work together. A few weeks later we randomly ran into each other at the new local brewery around the corner in Scott’s Addition – The Veil Brewery. Best IPA’s in town and Kate and William’s go to spot in the city. Naturally, we decided that the upcoming engagement shoot had to start there, especially since Kate had been trying to convince the owners to let them buy a few Veil kegs for their reception;) William’s smile is pretty perfect, but the news of starting the session at the brewery made his pearly whites glow! haha. We scoured little sides streets across The Fan of RVA for the perfect patches of blooms and color. Along one of our alleyway journeys we ran into a delightful old man who invited us into his ‘Secret Garden. I’ve never seen a more beautiful back yard, it was so magical! The session ended with a stunning sunset over Richmond’s city skyline at Libby Hill Park. To say that I am excited about their wedding next Spring would be an understatement. Enjoy a few of my favorites from this downtown Richmond engagement shoot!
